Re: Universe Heat Death and Proton Decay |
(In a futile attempt to get back on subject)
My personal Heat Death occured at about 2:30 PM on the walk up the 14th fairway at the TPC in Scottsdale this past August.
Why, you ask, do I play golf in Phoenix in August? Because it is the only time I can afford to play these grossly overpriced tracks.

Re: Universe Heat Death and Proton Decay |
What!?!?
No props for trying to hijack a golf/Dead comparison thread with diversionary discussion of proton decay and universe heat death?
Surely that is worth something?
Next time I will go for quantum entangled neural nets and shared/stored memories and Dyson swarms.

Now for a reference to Dyson swarms (no, folks, he's not taling about a display of vaccuum cleaners at Sears) I'd have to award 50 bonus points.

Re: Universe Heat Death and Proton Decay |
How is TPC Scottsdale?? I have only played it on Xbox - lol.
Have played TPC Boston a few times (phenomenal course) and TPC Hartford once. I played the Hartford course two weeks before a pro event - the rough was already so thick I got a hernia getting out of it with a 9 iron :)

Re: Universe Heat Death and Proton Decay |
Hey P--this is a fantastic spot; watch out for Gila (no, not GEEE-LA) monsters though, as in "watch out since it's great to see one", as they are more common there than anywhere else in the PHX metro region.
Beautiful geological formation, and the snakes, lizards and tortoises love it. Here's one ON that very formation:

Re: Universe Heat Death and Proton Decay |
I've been to the Marriott Los Suenos resort in Costa Rica, which is by the La Iguana golf resort. The grounds are covered with iguanas. The price to golf is about $140 per person. Too rich for my budget.

For those going to Furthur at Jones Beach on Sun., you can try your game at the famous Bethpage Black for $150.
